You are a consumer researcher for the up-and-coming fast-food restaurant 'Chick-n-Out' and are tasked with identifying the most preferred sauce to pair with your newest chicken sandwich. Based on prior survey data, you pick fry sauce, ranch, barbeque, and ketchup as the sauces that will likely pair well with the new sandwich; however, your supervisor wants you to identify which one will work the best based off of more current data. To identify which sauce pairs best with the new chicken sandwich, you conduct an experiment in which four groups of participants are asked to eat the new chicken sandwich with one of the sauces above. After eating the chicken sandwich, participants are then asked to rate the chicken sandwich on a scale from 1 (worst sandwich ever) to 7 (best sandwich ever). Each group has 20 participants for a total sample size of N = 80. Thus, your independent variable is the sauce on the new chicken sandwich and your dependent variable is the rating of that sandwich by participants in each group. Conduct a one-way ANOVA based on the information provided below to determine whether the groups of participants rate their chicken sandwiches (which have different sauces) differently than one another. Note, you do not need to conduct follow-up (analytical) comparisons to identify which sauce is the most preferred. (Ch. 11)

4. Draw a conclusion from your statistical analysis. To receive full credit, you must describe the samples (including means & SDs), decision about the null hypothesis, the value of your statistic, the probability of your statistic (i.e., either '<.05' or '>.05'), and a measure of effect size (i.e., R2).
