You are a human resources training specialist working for a large international automaker. Your company will soon complete the construction of a plant in Sonora, Mexico. This plant will specialize in the production of your very popular subcompact, the Chaperone.

Initially, all the new plants management will be transferred from various locations in the United States. Later, supervisors will be promoted from the ranks of individuals hired to work on the production line. It is hoped that many of these supervisors will rise to even greater heights.

Because you earned an international business certificate along with your degree in human resources management, your boss has decided that you are the best one to identify and communicate the selection and training criteria that the company will use.

Your boss believes that a 3-5 minute podcast is the best method to communicate the criteria for selecting the managers who will now work in Sonora. She notes that you need not consider a candidates technical expertise; others will screen candidates on that basis. You should, instead, focus on what qualifications candidates should have to be good intercultural managers and communicators and how the company should assess those qualifications.
