You are being asked to play the role of a supply chain security consultant.

Your client (SCLP Logistics) needs help.They need you to design a supply chain security program for their new 3PL facility. Some background to this facility: the site is brand new, surrounding this industrial park is open land for additional industrial facilities.In fact, there is a new production facility going in to left of your facility.That production facility is scheduled to be completed next year.Apparently, it can employee over 5000 people.Your facility can only employee 3500 people.Since this facility is at the end of the road looking up the street you know that you acquired this facility at the right time since there are no other companies around. Your client will warehouse and ship by trucking, pharmaceuticals, to the Pacific North West region of the USA and locally within BC for retail customers as part of their distribution supply chain channel.

As part of your assignment you need to design a security plan that can be implemented as your customer grows. The timeline is right now needing some basic security / including the completion of the PIP application.Your customer had heard this helps but not sure why?

Next year - need some further security given that the Production facility will be completed.

Finally - in year 2 a complete security program.If not already - the need of a method to track all transportation along with a full entire employee security system.
