You are developing a circuit to be part of a manufacturing robot control. This part of the robot function you are to design has to do with controlling an electro-magnet at the end of an arm that can hold a steel part or other object. You have these indications: -status of the electromagnet (on or off), -whether the robort arm is currently holding something (based on sensing the weight-either yes, or no-nothing), -whether the robot arm is positioned over the collection bin for depositing parts (or other objects) either yes or no.
Your circuit will allow the electromagnet to be turned off if: it is currently on, it is lifting a part (based on weight sensor), the robot arm is postitioned over the parts bin, and the control line to open the pinchers is a "1".
1)Build a truth table for the robot electromagnet control. 2) Extract a function and minimize. (3) Convert to NAND or NOR gates. 4) Implement the circuit with a gate diagram.
