You are doing a preliminary design of a hair dryer that will heat 50 grams per second of air to 50 degrees C. Assume that the inlet temperature is 22 C. Inside the hair dryer there will be a fan that directs air flow over a set of electric resistance heaters. You will not worry about the fan design or selection. Instead, your design focuses on just the \"heating tube,\" the constant- pressure cylindrical tube downstream of the fan, where the electrical heaters are located. Your design decision will be the diameter of the heater. Note that the pressure at the exit of the heating tube is ambient. In reality, the pressure at the inlet of the heating tube is somewhat higher in real life, but we are neglecting that pressure difference. l d a. Is the ideal gas law applicable under the conditions of this problem? How do you know? Find the density at the entrance and exit of the heating tube, using the ideal gas law or another method, as appropriate. b. For a series of possible heater tube diameters between 1 and 10 cm, calculate the gas exit velocity, the change in specific KE of the air, the change in specific enthalpy of the air, and the heater power requirement. Plot all four quantities in a neat, well-formatted plot. Make sure to list any assumptions you needed to make in addition to the ones listed in the problem statement. c. Make an argument for one particular choice of heater tube diameter. Use your results from part b with at least one other qualitative consideration
