Just two hours into your shift for the day, you are involved in a nonviolent crisis intervention (restraint) situation; one of the male teens spit at you as you redirected him for the third time that day. Additionally, the female teen that you met with extensively during the previous day has already been placed on restriction for the morning; you two had worked together to draft a behavior contract. Just as you begin to feel that your day cannot possibly get any worse, your supervisor calls you in and berates you in relation to a situation with which you had no involvement. The separate incidents of the morning have worked together to agitate your anger, leaving you to contemplate simply walking off the job.
