Recently, it was discovered that all checks on bread slices in the dining hall back to the end of 2020 were not drawn by staff due to an error in the system. In the payment of October 1st, withdrawals of slices of bread back to August 1st 2022 will be deducted from the salary. Withdrawals older than that will not be deducted. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Best regards, management.

You curse and laugh at this incident and understand nothing in this workplace of yours not to just let it go down. You hear of great dissatisfaction among your colleagues with the decision of the top management, but do not let the matter concern you, as you are nothing for bread. A few days later, another mail arrives from the top management saying that the staff misunderstood the mail and that in fact nothing should be deducted from anyone, that it is now just the computer saying no and that they are working to reverse this charge on staff.

Analyze this case with star motivation, communication, managing individual behavior and being an effective mind leader

- Communication angle. Was the message well conveyed? What effect might they have had? There was enough information in the previous (and even the second) post. What effect does such communication have on workplace culture, morale and more?

- Job satisfaction angle. Is this conducive to promoting job satisfaction? Can such actions by top management affect job satisfaction? How can the attitude of the staff develop from this case in terms of future invitations from senior management?

- Discuss this from Maslow or Herzberg. Now or both.

- How could this project be done based on theories of leadership or behavior?
