You are importing data from Excel into Stata. You had variable names in row two in Excel and want it to be in the top row in Stata. How would you do this? Paste the data copied from row two and then select Variable Names from the pop-up menu. Type the variable names into the first row manually. Right-click the data under Variable Names in Excel and hit Copy. Copy and paste the data from the correct row in Excel, and the names will import automatically
