You are investigating whether social isolation impacts well-being in cognitively healthy older and younger adults. You recruit 20 older adults (60 80 years old) and 20 younger adults ('18 38 years old] to your lab to serve as participants in your research. Half of the participants in the study were asked to self-isolate for 14 days, while the other half were not required to self-isolate. First. you predict that overall happiness ratings will not differ between isolation conditions {Hypothesis 1).
