you are now in the business of making some kind of product!! In a few sentences, 1) what does your business make? 2) What is the selling price for one unit (hint: this should be one number)?3) What are the variable costs for one unit (hint: this should be one number)?4) What are the total fixed costs your business incurs (hint: this should be one number that is relatively large compared to #2 and #3)? Lastly, 5) give me your break-even point in units.
Each student will obviously have different answers (have fun with this). Number 5 will be unique to each student and graded on the mathematical accuracy of your responses to questions 2 through 4. Attempt to give reasonable numbers that make sense based on your product. For instance, give an estimate of your fixed costs and your variable costs per unit. I will primarily grade on your mathematical accuracy in calculating the break-even point.
