You are one of 8 health care workers that are supervised by another individual. Your review has come up and you are about to visit with your supervisor. You have performed well this year and have no concerns going into your review. You get along well with your coworkers, and the coaches and physicians that you work with all seem happy with your work. The only problem that you can think of during the year is an argument that you had with one of the nurses in the clinic. The argument became heated and occurred in full view of a patient. You feel you ultimately dealt with that situation well, apologizing to the patient and later smoothing things over with the nurse. You are expecting a good review and the 4% raise that goes along with meeting all the expectations of your job description. You are in your first year of employment and this is your first review. You are hopeful of receiving a raise above 4% after helping with clinic a few times at the last minute when you were not assigned. The new raise is much needed as school loan expenses and car repairs have been costly. If there is some extra to the raise, you would like to go away for vacation. - How do you respond to this situation and the many facets of the situation?
