You are to find a public company of your choice and find its financial statements on the company's website. Pretty much any major company you can think of is listed on a stock exchange and therefore its financial statements are readily available. For instance, if I go to Wendys.com and select the 'Investors' section on the bottom of the site I can access its annual report (under 'SEC Filings' ) and open the financial statements. Please see links below:

Investor Relations :: Wendy's, Inc. (W) (wendys.com)

Annual Reports :: Wendy's, Inc. (W) (wendys.com)

The income statement is on page F6 of the report and the balance sheet is on page F8 of the report. Use these 2 financial statement to calculate the ratios listed in the file here: Term Project Ratios.pdf

Financial ratios are mathematical comparisons of financial statement accounts or categories. These relationships between the financial statement accounts help investors, creditors, and internal company management understand how well a business is performing and of areas needing improvement.

The deliverable is to calculate each ratio stated on the file and to write a sentence or more about how you interpret the ratio- i.e. what does it mean to have a current ratio of 1.4? Finally, based on your calculations, state your opinion of the financial health of the chosen company. This can be submitted as an excel and word file.
