Recalling the country you have described in assessment #1, students must evaluate with appropriate language the level of fulfillment of the ten pre-conditions for achieving efficiency and affordability in competitive healthcare markets (60).

Students must propose and describe a feasible roadmap to achieve and improve the pre-conditions in the country considered (40).

Some further explanation:

In the first assignment students had to describe the presence of the preconditions in the countries broadly, as well as describing the managed competition model. In sum, re-elaborate what was written in the paper (Van de Ven, 2013), and drawing from the course content and essential reading.

Now, building on this - students must elaborate on that and provide an evaluation of these pre-conditions which is up to date. For each precondition and for a country of the student's choice (e.g. the same one chosen last time) the student should describe:

• What is missing to fulfill them?
• What is the state of the art at the moment in the country (not as 2013 as the Van de Ven article)?
• What are the problems/positive issues that the pre-conditions (not) fulfilled are creating in the system?

What reforms are needed to suit these systems?
