You are walking down the spiral steps at Kellogg to meet a friend, but you are looking at your phone. You bump into a person walking up the stairs who as a result has one of her books knocked out of her hands. The book falls on the stairs and another person slips on the book and falls backwards and hits his head on the stairs causing internal bleeding, ultimately slips into a coma, and later dies. You obviously did not mean any harm and any direct contact you had was with the second person, not the person who ultimately perished. You are sued by the family and estate of the deceased student.
