You have a home with a basement, and you hear running water in it at 3:00 am. You rush downstairs hopeful it isn't what it sounds like, but it is what you thought, A large pipe is broken and there is a foot of water on the basement floor. So, you shut down the water main, and call one of those 24/7 plumbers who has taken out a full page ad to get your attention (big $$$ time). He shows-up an hour later, says it's $150.00 just for walking in the door, and says he can fix the problem. Ninety minutes later (after hearing strange noises downstairs) the plumber is hauling his stuff to the truck, says he fixed the problem, and charges you an additional $250.00.
