You have an arrest warrant endorsed to enter a specific dwelling-house, a one-bedroom apartment in a multi-storey building. You have been communicating with the person named in the warrant, both by phone and through the apartment door. The male has repeatedly told you he will not come out and will not unlock the door. He has said you have to break down the door. You have the tools you need to force open the door. One of the other officers with you says she noted the location of the superintendent's apartment and suggested that she should try to get a master key from the super.
