You have been appointed as the new Police Chief of Portland,Oregon.Your city has experienced unrest for the past three months and there are some people who are even demanding that the police department be defunded.It is your task to deal with the unrest in your city.

Consider what happens in Portland last year.

Come up with a plan to deal with the circumstances that your city has been experiencing including any violence that is associated with nightly protests and some of the public has no confidence in the police.This plan will want to win over the majority of your residents and could include the actualdefunding of the police and/or asking for state or federal assistance in restoring order to your city.

Note--the 2 things that you are recommending is in addition to whether you are recommending to defund the police or seek state or federal assistance.
