You have been asked to speak to fellow professionals at a provincial conference. You can pick any profession you wish, but it should represent the group that you would like to work with upon graduation. They have asked you to give a 45 minute talk on "the keys to outstanding program evaluation in (you name the setting)". You have decided to create 10 guiding principles. Each principle is comprised of a single sentence that describes how the evaluator should think and/or act. All 10 taken together lay out all the main points that will set up any evaluator for success. You start your talk with "Program evaluation is comprised of many activities, many people, and many parts of your organization. It can get confusing, and we can fall into the trap of believing that evaluation is just about managers being responsible for gathering data and making decisions. So, this presentation lays out everything you need to succeed as an outstanding evaluator. Let's get started..." then you lay out all the things they need to know I suggest you state each principle as a statement then, under that statement, tell your audience why and how to fulfill that principle. Essentially, you want to tell them why you made that recommendation and what that means for them as evaluators. Your audience needs to know why they are doing these things as well as how. That will help with building acceptance
