You have decided to enroll in Washington State's Early Achievers program that will provide your staff with tuition money to go to the local community college and will also provide an evaluation of your center using the ECERS Environmental Rating Scale as well as the CLASS rating administered by the University of Washington. Early Achievers uses a rating system to help families understand their child care provider's progress in quality improvement.The rating system provides information about the quality of early learning programs so parents can feel confident about your child care choice. Early learning professionals are continuously building on the skills they develop through Early Achievers.

A child care provider's participation in Early Achievers demonstrates a commitment to improving quality of care for children.

"QRISwere developedinthe late 1990s,inlarge part as a way to direct higherchild caresubsidy reimbursement rates to higher-qualityprograms.
