Career choice: The primary decision variable for me is deciding on the career path I want to take. I'm considering roles, like accountant, environmental scientist, emergency medical technician (EMT) and education policy maker. Constraints Minimum salary: I must make sure that the career I choose offers a salary that aligns with my requirements and aspirations. It has to be over 100k Maximum hours per week to work: I need to think about how time I want to spend on work and balance it with my life. |I would like to do 42 hours for the maximum. Maximum danger: I have to consider how risk I'm willing to take and the level of safety involved in each career option. Objective Function Maximize contribution to society: I aim to select a profession that enables me to contribute positively to society be it, by ensuring transparency as an accountant safeguarding the environment as a scientist providing emergency medical assistance, as an EMT or advocating for education policy reform as an education policy maker. Generate Alternatives Apart, from the career choices already mentioned I also need to explore career paths whether they are linked or completely different. 1. Environmental Scientist: This career fits well with my aim to help society by concentrating on effects and sustainability. 2. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Balancing the opportunity to help society through providing emergency assistance with the safety compared to firefighting. 3. Education Policy Maker: If I have a passion, for influencing education policies and structures to enhance welfare and fairness I can do so without being confined to a classroom environment.
