You just became the Director of Education at theBest Ever Zoo & Aquarium (BEZA). You have also been awarded a $25,000 Conservation Endowment Fund (CEF) grant to establish a conservation education program for your zoo and aquarium.
The mission of BEZA is to advance discovery, understanding, and stewardship of the natural world through compelling exhibition and interpretation of living animals and plants. - How will you deliver your message(s)?
- What is the marketing plan for your program - press releases, billboards, use of educational technology?
- How will you make your conservation education program come alive? What activities will your program include - hands-on art programs, role-playing, games?
- Describe in detail the learning styles/theories that you have used in your conservation education program?
- How will you evaluate the effectiveness of your message(s) and your program? Will you take steps to evaluate (front end evaluation, pilot test, etc) before completing your program? What does your final evaluation plan look like? PIE stands for Planning, Implementing, and Evaluation. Be sure to show in detail how you used the PIE method in developing your program
