You may do one of the four mandates described below. 1. Labor centric fulfillment center design (10 points) 1.1. You have to provide CityFeed with a design for an open peri-urban fulfillment center that is labor centric, with minimal reliance on automation and robotization. Your design may leverage technologies to help the humans operate, without aiming to replace them. 1.2. You have to provide early alternatives you have considered, and to describe and justify how you have filtered them out to single out your proposed design. 2. Automation and/or robotization centric fulfillment center design (10 points) 2.1. You have to provide CityFeed with a design for an open peri-urban fulfillment center that is to operate with a minimal set of humans, relying mostly on automation and robotization. 2.2. You have to provide early alternatives you have considered, and to describe and justify how you have filtered them out to single out your proposed design. 3. Contrasting labor and automation/robotization centric fulfillment center designs (20 points) 3.1. You have to perform the tasks in mandates 1 and 2. 3.2. You have to perform a comprehensive comparative assessment of your two alternative designs, and justify in which conditions one should be preferred above the other.
