You will be using the following variables in this assignment. If you have not already done so, rename all the variables below:

age (a1)

gender (a2)

school_year (a3)

distance (a6a)

binge_1 (c1)

frat (a5)

housing (a6)

transfer (a4)

For the gender, age and school_year variables, compute and report where applicable, the mean, median, mode, standard deviation, maximum and minimum for each variable. Only the appropriate statistics for each level of measurement should be computed.

1.Insert the statistics table for EACH variable into your response and interpret the statistics generated for each variable in full sentence form. If you report or interpret statistics that are inappropriate for the level of measurement, points will be deducted from your responses.

2.What percentage of respondents are men (gender)? Insert the frequency table for the gender variable.

3.What percentage of respondents are under 20 years old (age)? Insert the frequency table for the age variable

4.What percentage of respondents are either 21 years old or older (age)?

5.What percentage of respondents are either sophomores or juniors (school_year)? Insert the frequency table for the school_year variable.

6.Create and report the following "free-standing" graphs:

a.A pie chart showing the percentage of respondents who transferred from another school (transfer)

  1. A simple bar graph showing the number and percentage of respondents' residence at college (housing). NB: Code other as missing before generating the chart.

Note: You will need to insert each chart AND add data labels using text boxes (if you are using PSPP).

7.Compute and report the Pearson Correlation between fraternity/sorority membership (frat) and the number of times respondents have had five or more drinks in the past two weeks (binge_1).

a.Interpret your output using the correct notations for the statistics you are reporting. In interpreting the output, please report the correlation coefficient "r", say if it's positive or negative and also whether or not it is significant based on a .05 alpha cutoff (i.e. is p<.05>

b.Conclude your report by using a full sentence to describe the result of this test

Note: You will need to insert the Pearson correlation table when answering part "a".
