The inlet line to the pump is 2-nominal schedule 40 PVC, 2.5 m long. The outlet line from pump to press is 1 2 1 -nominal schedule 40PVC,6 m long. The pressure of the hydraulic oil delivered to the press must be 30psia. After being used in the press, the oil is discharged to an elevated tank at the top of the press. The return line from this tank to the supply tank is 12 m ling, and its diameter has not been selected, but it too should be made of PVC. The heights are H=6ft,h=8in., and d=12in. 1. Size the pump.
