Your best project lead, Barry Sanders, has been the star of your department for the past 2 years. You are his manager in the Strategic Development department of IHC. Your departments job is to complete projects that improve IHCs market share, quality, ranking and financial position. Completing these projects is where your departments value is assessed. But during the last year you suspect Barry has been falling off in his performance. At the beginning of last month (Dec 2021) you questioned him on it and saw a slight uptick. Youre worried though that it was a one-time thing. When employees of his caliber fall off like this, you suspect he is looking for another job. His original average completed projects a month was 40. The rest of your project leads typically can churn out 37 completed projects a month. What is your conclusion? Is Barry in a slump? Or is there no significant change in his performance compared to himself/other project leads?

Part 2 1% Write up a summary that you can turn into the department director that would express the conclusions from Part 1 thoroughly enough that she can understand the problem, answer, and path forward without a face to face meeting.

Part 3 1% Assume your director is unfamiliar with statistical analysis and terminology. Include in the summary from Part 2, a notes section that describes each of the statistical terms used and define them so a beginner could understand what they mean.

Part 4 1% Provide a visual summary of your findings in 3 separate graphs so that executive leadership can be briefed on the situation

Part 5 1% Prepare an outline of talking points that you would use to address Barry in your next 1:1. Include insightful takeaways from your analysis, but consider how the audience would be different than the director and executive team. Assume Barry is knowledgeable in statistical analysis.
