Your company develops rugged embedded computers that are deployed on heavy industrial vehicles. Early testing of a new product line has resulted in several unexpected failures of the computers. The cause of these failures has been attributed to a new internal power supply, which has only been introduced in this latest product. Your team decides to test a batch of power supplies under usage conditions. You test 20 power supplies, and observe failures after the following hours of operation.

3600, 1150, 600, 3190, 2000, 4200, 100, 2910, 1450, 2310

As you needed to report back with your results, the remaining 10 power supplies had not yet failed when you completed testing.

Part (a)

Determine the median rank (using Benard's approximation) and plot the data on a Weibull chart. From this plot, estimate the Weibull parameters needed to fit a Weibull distribution to these observed failures (Note. A three parameter Weibull distribution may be needed).
