Your research question:Is there a linear relationship between feelings toward conservatives and beliefs regarding gay persons' right to marry one another?
Below is a linear regression that was run between feelings toward conservatives (x variable) and beliefs toward gay people having the right to marry one another (y variable). I found this to be a negatively statistically significant relationship. The regression was statistically significant where= .05, B = -0.011,t(288) = -2.914, p = 0.003,r2 = .029. I need to report how much percentage of variation there is as well. I have included below the linear regression analysis that was performed.
My question is can approximately 3% of the variation of the belief that gay people have the right to marry one another be accounted for by feelings toward conservatives?
