Their boss deducted 30 minutes from their pay each day for lunch breaks but since it was so busy they couldn't take them. They were paid 8 dollars an hour and got tips. Week 3: It was less busy this week so they cut the hours. They worked 20 hours that week over 5 days. On the 6th day, after showing up for work, they were sent home without any pay because it is not busy. They deducted 30 minutes pay for 5 days, but they worked through their breaks. The employer said because it is not so busy, that they need to keep all the tips. It was about $100 in tips. They got 8 dollars an hour. Week 4: The company introduces a new uniform policy and asks them to rent it for $100 a month. The employee protests that they are getting charged but they get deducted from their pay anyways. They deducted 30 minutes' pay for lunch for 5 day, but it was too busy to take breaks. They worked 20 hours that week, including a Labour day shift for 4 hours. They got paid 8 dollars an hour plus tips. They were called into work on the 11th of September, they were not paid for this and their employer fired them without cause, they got no notice or severance
