You're working on your first audit after recently being hired by a small CPA firm. You had been offered a Big-Four job but accepted this job as the partners who interviewed you seemed to place a lot of emphasis on ethical behavior, and not so much on making money. Your team has 3 other members and after 2 weeks on the audit you learn that the others are spending less time on the audit than they are recording. You talk to Carlos, the least senior of the other 3 (he has been there 6 months), and he tells you that when he was at first upset with it, but the others said they did it because their firm didn't pay very well, and he decided it was easier to go along with it. Carlos advises you to go along with it, and enjoy the free time. a) What would you do, and why? Assume that you decided you wanted to confront the most senior member of your team (Thanh) and tell her that if the time recording isn't corrected you will report it to the partners. b) How would you prepare for your conversation with Thanh? (This is the GVV part)
