Zara, a fashionista, received a brochure in her letterbox which stated that Kasih Iris, a well-known clothing boutique was selling its clothes at big discounts. Upon arriving at the Kasih Iris boutique, she saw a mannequin in the window display wearing a dress which resembled the dress worn by Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge during recent Royal Ascot. Beside the mannequin was a large sign which stated, "Special Offer! 70% discount". Zara went into the boutique and picked out the dress and took it to the cashier. The cashier told her that she would have to pay the full price for the dress as the sign next to the mannequin had been wrongly placed. Zara wishes to know whether she could legally insist on buying the dress at a discount.
Advise Zara as to her rights under Contracts Act 1950.
