In fact, in the long term, we need to be far more ‘scientific’ as a profession. Occupancy surveys need to be a more integrated part of what we do, and we need to build evidence to make the case for the productivity of green offices. Too much evidence is anecdotal and small-scale. It is difficult to disaggregate the performance drivers of worker performance, but we can get better at it. Ultimately, Planet requires a strong business case to convince directors, and that needs solid evidence and clear figures.
