ances. In addition, if the press fit between hub and flange is loose, the spot¬

welding operation tends to pull the flanges off the axis of rotation. As a result, the pulley may be rejected because of excessive “wobble.” Inspection of daily production results in rejection of pulleys for these reasons. Table 13-13 is a record of production and rejections for 10 days.
