(b) Use the results from Problem 2.3, in which the mean and standard deviation of W=Q and I were calculated, to calculate the approximate values of mean and standard deviation of v using the relevant error propagation formula, assuming no correlation between the two measurements.

This problem illustrates that the error propagation formulas may give different results than direct measurement of the mean and variance of a variable, when the individual measurements are available.
