During the pandemic many children did not attend school. In many households, the children were expected to learn on their own using textbooks and other teaching material. A U.S. Census survey took a random sample of households with school-age children. Parents were asked to report the amount of time in minutes that their children spent in the previous 7 days learning on their own. The survey identified the education category of the head of the household. The categories are 1 = Less than high school, 2 = High school or GED, 3 = Some college/associate’s degree, 4 = Bachelor’s degree or higher. Is there enough statistical evidence to infer that there are differences in the amount of time children spent learning on their own between the four populations?
