Supply chain management performance. The leadership characteristics of supply chain managers were investigated in the Journal of the International Academy for Case Studies (Vol. 26, 2020). Each in a sample of 82 supply chain managers completed a questionnaire on management leadership style. The dependent variable in the study was supply chain management performance (y), an aggregate of several performance metrics. Five independent variables were considered as possible predictors of performance: idealized influence behavior (x1), idealized influence attributed (x2), individualized consideration (x3), inspirational motivation (x4), and intellectual stimulation (x5).
