Do chief executive officers (CEOs) of publicly traded companies earn their compensation? Every year the National Post’s Business magazine attempts to answer the question by reporting the CEO’s annual compensation ($1,000), the profit (or loss) ($1,000), and the three-year share return (%) for the top 50 Canadian companies. 

a. Draw a scatter diagram of the CEO’s annual compensation and the profit of the company. 

b. Draw a scatter diagram of the CEO’s annual compensation of the three-year share return. 

c. Based on the scatter diagrams in (a) and (b) report whether the CEO’s earn their compensation.
