The MSCI 2018 Survey of Women on Boards showed that there continues to be a slow increase in the overall percentage of women on boards globally. The study reported that 72 of 72 (100%) French companies sampled, 49 of 62 (79%) German companies sampled, 14 of 24 (58.3%) Irish companies sampled, 15 of 21 (71.4%) Spanish companies sampled, and 18 of 42 (42.9%) Swiss companies sampled have at least three female directors on their boards.
a. Is there evidence of a significant difference among the countries with respect to the proportion of companies that have at least three female directors on their boards? (Use a = 0.05.)
b. Determine the p-value and interpret its meaning.
c. If appropriate, use the Marascuilo procedure and a = 0.05 to determine which groups differ.
