It provides a description of the participants, which may include gender, age, and ethnicity.

Next comes a Materials or Apparatus subsection, describing any testing materials or equipment used. The final subsection is usually a Procedure (or a Design and Procedure)

subsection. It should describe the variables in the study and the procedure used to collect the data in sufficient detail that another researcher could replicate the study after reading this section.
