Based on the concept of “compensating differentials,” develop a list of job/organizational characteristics that would make you willing to work for less money. Then develop a list of job/organizational characteristics that would cause you to want more money to accept a given job. Rank each list in order of the importance to you of each characteristic. In a small group, compare your lists and discuss possible reasons for any differences.
