Typically, for instance, store workers will accept packages, check that they are wrapped and labeled properly, scan them into the company’s computerized tracking system, compute the shipping charges, and complete the customer’s transaction, including printing a receipt for the package.

Employees can also sell packaging materials and take orders for printing jobs, such as fliers and invitations.

Assume you manage a local store with an experienced staff of four employees, and you are expecting a temporary worker to arrive next week and work the two weeks before Christmas. As a group, draft an action plan for successfully integrating, training, and supervising the new worker, including specific actions to be taken, who will take them, and when and where.
