7. The MVA Pet Food Company distributes one of its products, Gro-Pup, through warehouses in Seattle and Portland. A central warehouse at the St. Louis plant distributes Gro-Pup to these two warehouses in serving the Northwest regional market.

a. Develop a distribution schedule for the two warehouses and a production schedule for the plant for the next eight-week period, using the DRP worksheet in Exhibit B (page 385). (Note the sales forecast for this product is 20 units per week at the Seattle warehouse, and 43 units of the product are currently on hand. The shipment order quantity is 60 units, planned shipment lead time is one week, and there’s no safety stock requirement. Similar information is included in Exhibit B for the other two facilities.) The product is packed in lots of 50 units at St. Louis. The packaging process takes two weeks.
