A commercial oven that heats a critical product cannot exceed a predetermined temperature.
A temperature sensing thermocouple circuit produces a voltage proportional to the oven temperature. The output voltage varies linearly from 0 V at 0C to 12 Vat 1000C. Design a circuit that will detect when a set temperature is exceeded and will output 0 V. That output will then shut off the +15-V power to the relay that is normally ON and controls the 240-V power to the oven. Once the relay trips, it needs to be reset manually. Figure 4–81
(a) shows the diagram of the task.
