The cost of health care is rising faster than most other items. To learn more about the problem a survey was undertaken to determine whether differences in health care expenditures exist between men and women. The survey randomly sampled men and women aged 21, 22,..., 65 and determined the total amount spent on health care. Do these data allow us to infer that men and women spend different amounts on health care?
