(a) Estimate the correlation between Y and X.
(b) Test the hypothesis that p = 0, using a = 0.05.
(c) Fit a simple linear regression model and test for significance of regression using a = 0.05. What conclusions can you draw? How is the test for significance of regression related to the test on p in part (b)?
(d) Test the hypothesis H0: B0 = 0 versus H1: B0 = 0 and draw conclusions. Use a = 0.05.
(e) Analyze the residuals and comment on model adequacy.
