Research Assistant
IISc Bangalore
As a research assistant, I am involved in two research projects.
1. DEVELOPMENT OF LOW-COST SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR: The motivation behind this research is to develop a system that can assist in efficiently managing water and reducing its wastage in the agriculture sector. As it accounts for 70% of freshwater withdrawal worldwide, it becomes imperative to manage water efficiently and sustainably in agricultural fields. Precise estimation of soil moisture will not only help in saving water but will also help in increasing the productivity of crops. The water saved using this system can be used to cater to the needs of the water-deprived population.
2. DEVELOPMENT OF SELF-HEALING CONCRETE: Concrete is the most commonly used construction material on earth. The life of concrete infrastructures... Show more
