Think of a small business you are familiar with – perhaps some family or friends may be able to assist you. Determine what the business does based on your knowledge and/or other sources such as the business website. Find out as much as you can about the business, e.g. does it export products, does it deal in multiple currencies, does it need to comply with financial reporting rules or laws. With this information, try to determine the essential functions it would need to have within its accounting software.
