Carefully collect data cross-classified by two categorical variables for which you are interested in determining whether there is a relationship. Do not get the data from a book, website, or journal; collect it yourself. Be sure to get counts of at least five in each cell and be sure the individuals you use are not related to each other in ways that would influence their data.
a. Create a contingency table for the data.
b. Compute and discuss the risks and relative risks. Are those terms appropriate for your situation? Explain.
c. Determine whether there is a statistically significant relationship between the two variables.
d. Discuss the role of sample size in making the determination in part (c).
