RAM (Random Access Memory) is known as the main memory. Main memory will lost the data when the power is off. It can be accessed directly by the CPU. • Secondary storage will hold the data even the power is off and it will not be accessed directly by the CPU. • Many people confused between these two words main memory and secondary storage as both these can do the same work i.e., storing the required information.
