Cooling water flows through the tubes such that hi = 1000 BTU/hr/ft2/°F. The water flow is high so that the temperature on the tube side (Twater) may be assumed to be constant at 90°F. Pure saturated steam at 5 psig is condensing on the shell side.

Determine the capacity of the condenser (Q in BTU/hr) if the condenser tubes are oriented 

(a) Vertically and 

(b) Horizontally.

You should assume that neither water nor steam fouls the heat-exchange surfaces.
