For the cumene troubleshooting, it has been determined that off-specification propylene will have to be used for the next several months. To assist in handling this feed, prepare the following performance graphs for use in determining what reactor temperature and pressure are required to compensate for increased propane impurity. Determine the maximum possible propane impurity that can be handled in the given temperature or pressure range without loss of cumene production capability.

1. A plot of cumene production rate versus propane impurity (from 5 wt% to 10 wt%) at pressures from 2700 kPa to 3300 kPa at 400°C and the original propylene feed rate

2. A plot of cumene production rate versus propane impurity (from 5 wt% to 10 wt%) at temperatures from 300°C to 400°C at 3300 kPa and the original propylene feed rate
